The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is proud to announce that the 37th Annual Lanesville (Indiana) Heritage Pull will be sanctioned by the BOB Series.  “This is one of the largest pulls in the nation, and the history of this event makes it a DO NOT MISS for fans and pullers alike.” Said BOB Series Indiana Director Lloyd Lamb.  “The track is one of best anywhere, and come early to find a place to park,” commented Lamb.

Elizabethtown, KY to Host a Fundraiser Pull for the National Breast Cancer Foundation

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series will be hosting a major pulling event on October 5, 2012 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Elizabethtown, KY.  The event is a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  “All proceeds from this event will go to helping people who are suffering with Breast Cancer, as well as making people aware of this tragic illness,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “We believe the entire community will get behind this event, and look forward to a large crowd.”

The 3rd Annual Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB Series) was held last night at the Butler State Park in Carrollton, Kentucky.  “Over 100 people attended the Banquet and great time was had by all.”, said BOB Series President Kevin Fulks.  “2011 was a great year for the BOB Series and it was a joy to highlight all the fun we had this past year.” Commented Fulks.

Last Chance To Watch The Smoke Blow This Weekend

As the Fall pulling season moves on, two great events are scheduled for this Saturday with the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB Series).  A major event will be taking place this Saturday, September 24 at the Charlestown Speedway in Charlestown, IN.  “This is one of the best pulling facilities in the region.  Plenty of pit parking, a great track and plenty of loyal fans.” Said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “We kicked off the season at the Charlestown Speedway, and the promoter made the event turn into a great show.  This is a do not miss event.” Commented McConnell.

After having two great pulls this weekend, the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) continues this week, with two more events.  “Liberty, Kentucky had the best pull that Casey County has ever hosted this past Friday, and Stanford had over 50 pullers on that power track in Lincoln County.” Commented BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “This weekend will heat up the points battles, and pullers from several states are planning to attend.” Said McConnell.

Mt. Sterling Goes Two Days for 2011

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB Series) will be at the Montgomery County Fair cin Mt. Sterling, KY. this Friday and Saturday, August 5-6, 2011.  “For the past two years, the BOB Series has had a Friday night show only, and for the past two years, the BOB Series has set record crowds for the fair.  That is why this year we will have two days of pulling in Mt. The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series will be hosting an all truck event, this Tuesday Night, July 19 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, IN.  This event is a points event for all BOB Series Diesel Trucks.  The pull will start at 7pm and classes to run include Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks(2.6), Outlaw Diesel Trucks(3.0), and Gas 4WD Trucks.

2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull Recap

SuperPullThe 2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull is now in the books.  “This event was the largest pulling event held in the state of Kentucky this year, and one of the largest in the United States.” Said Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series President Kevin Fulks.  “We had over 220 pullers from 14 states entered in this event and had to turn pullers away.”, commented Fulks.

Tickets are now available for the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull.  The pull will take place December 10-11, 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.  Tickets can be ordered online at the Battle of the Bluegrass website at www.bluegrasspulling.com.  Tickets can also be purchased at a $2 discounted rate by contacting your local Kentucky FFA chapter.  “This pull is a fundraiser for the Kentucky FFA, so going to your local FFA will help the kids stay in agriculture.”, said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.

U.S. Lube Claims First Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series Win

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is proud to announce that legendary puller Keith Race(Red Rattler) is the first puller in the BOB Series to win an event using a U.S. Lube product.  On August 7, 2010, in Sturgis, Kentucky, Race out pulled 14 tractors in the Pro Farm class, winning the event.  Race was using the U.S. Lube Oil Enhancer in his tractor.  “I can tell a difference in the performance of my tractor.  It responds more quickly, meaning it is getting better lubrication.” Commented Race.

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is headed to the Nicholas County Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Kentucky this Saturday night.  This pull is the make up pull due to the rain out in Carlisle earlier in August.  “We want to invite all the fans and pullers to come out and support this event.  The rain out was on the last night of our fair, and we had so many phone calls of people wanting us to reschedule, so that’s what we did.”, said event promoter Jerry Ross.  “It looks like Mother Nature is going to be our friend this time around.” Commented Ross.

The 3rd Annual Logan Tackett Memorial Pull is the next stop for the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series).  The pull will take place this Saturday, August 28 at 7pm at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Glencoe, Kentucky.  The pull is held in honor of Logan Tackett, who along with his father Jeff Tackett, held to build the new fairgrounds in Glencoe.  “This pull means a lot to the BOB Series.  Logan loved pulling and his hard work is seen by everyone when they enter the fairgrounds.” Commented BOB Series CEO, Tom McConnell.

 Sturgis, Kentucky Next Stop for the Battle of the Bluegrass

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB Series) heads to Western Kentucky this Saturday at the Union County Fairgrounds in Sturgis, Kentucky.  “Sturgis has one of the nicest fairgrounds in the state and we look forward to great show.”, said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “There are a lot of fans in West Kentucky that have to travel quite a ways to see a BOB Series event, so this weekend we are bringing the BOB pullers to them.”, commented McConnell.

Tollesboro, Kentucky Next Stop for the Battle of the Bluegrass

After four days of pulling in a row last week, the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series is headed to Tollesboro, KY this Saturday night on July 24.  “We really enjoyed being at the new facility in Tollesboro this spring and look forward to a great event this week.” Commented BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “The layout of the fairgrounds is perfect for pulling and the track takes a lot of power to win.” Said McConnell.

Giddy Up Go Has Photos Available

gugpThe Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series now has photos for sell.  The BOB Series has used Giddy Go Photos to cover their events this year, and owner Diane Regis is now making them available to all the pullers.  “This lady had never been to a pull before, but you would not know that based on her photos.  She has shot some of the best pulling photos I have ever seen.” Commented BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.
