4th Annual Bluegrass Nationals This Weekend in Danville, Kentucky

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB) is headed to the Danville-Boyle County Fairgrounds in Danville, Kentucky this Friday and Saturday, June 3-4.  This is the 4th Annual Bluegrass Nationals, held annually each June during the Danville-Boyle County Fair.  “This pull kicks off the fair season in Kentucky, and it is one of the largest pulls we have all year.” Said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “We have battled rain the last several years, but the forecast looks good for this weekend.” Commented McConnell.

The Bluegrass Nationals will kick things off Friday, June 3 at the fairgrounds in Danville.  Classes to run include Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Pro Stock 4WD Trucks, Pro Farm Tractors, Outlaw Super Farm Tractors, and Pro Street Diesel Trucks(2.6).  On Saturday, June 4, classes to run include 10,000 Hot Farm Tractors, Pro Street Diesel Trucks(2.6), Pro Stock 4WD Trucks, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Outlaw Super Farm Tractors, and Outlaw Diesel Trucks(3.0).  The pull will start both nights at 7pm EST.

Danville, Kentucky has a long history of pulling within the state.  It is one of a handful of events that has received national television coverage in years gone by, being on the Outdoor Channel and Speedvision. The location of the pull is in the center of the state, drawing pullers from the North and the South, as well as pullers from out of state.  The Danville-Boyle County Fair is also one of the largest fairs in the state, and has grown even larger in the last several years.
