2011 Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series
Press Releases

March 19, 2011 (Louisville, KY)
Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series Adds Several New Events for 2011

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is proud to announce the addition of several new events for the 2011 Season.  “We have been working hard with our current and new promoters to offer a great season of pulling for 2011.  We are going to several new places and are very exicited about all the new events for 2011.” Said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “We believe that 2011 will be our best year yet and we can’t wait to get started.” Commented McConnell.

The season will kick off with a new event in Stanford, KY. on May 7.  Classes to run include Work Stock Diesel, Pro Street Diesel, Outlaw Diesel, Pro Farm Tractors and Hot Farm Tractors.  The BOB Series will return to Stanford on July 8-9, during the Lincoln County Fair, and then a fall event will take place on September 10.

May 14 will see the BOB Series in Falmouth, KY.  Classes to run include Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Economy Hot Rod Tractors, and Work Stock Diesel Trucks and Pro Street Diesel Trucks.  This event is promoted by the Pendleton County Recreation Committee.

Charlestown, Indiana will host two new events in 2011.  The BOB Series will sanction the Clark County Fair pull again on July 9, but the two new events will be held at the legendary Charlestown Speedway.  Charlestown Speedway has recently rebuilt the track and has built a new Dirt Car Track, and has added a pulling track in the infield.  “This just might be the nicest facility that we will pull in 2011.” Commented BOB Series Indiana Director Lloyd Lamb.  The first event at Charlestown Speedway will take place on May 21.  Classes to run include the 12,000 Open Farm Tractors, Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks, Outlaw Diesel Trucks, Gas 4WD Trucks, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, and Outlaw Super Farm Tractors.  Charlestown Speedway will also host the BOB Series Championship Pull on October 8, with classes to be announced.

July 2 will see the BOB Series at the Powell County Fairgrounds in Stanton, KY.  This pull is a fundraiser for Relay for Life.  Classes to run include Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks, Outlaw Diesel Trucks, Pro Farm Tractors, and Light Limited Super Stock Tractors.  “This is a first time event and this will be a great way to celebrate the July 4 Holiday.” Commented BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.

July 4 will see the BOB Series in Otwell, IN.  Classes to run include Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Outlaw Diesel Trucks, and Outlaw Super Farm Tractors.

July 8 will see the BOB Series host yet another new event in Indiana.  This time the BOB Series will be in Rising Sun, Indiana.  Classes to run include Hot Farm Tractors, Super Stock 2WD Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks and Pro Farm Tractors.

Owensboro, KY will take place on July 15-16.  This is one of the most historical events in the pulling history, not just in Kentucky, but nationwide.  Classes to run include Work Stock Diesel Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks, Outlaw Diesel Trucks, Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Outlaw Super Farm Tractors, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Light Wt. Super Stock Tractors and the Indiana Pro Farm Tractors.
