Owensboro, KY to Host Major Two Day Pull With the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series(BOB Series) is proud to announce a new two day event for 2011.  The Daviess County Fair in Owensboro, KY will be a part of the BOB Series in 2011.  “Owensboro is one of the most historical pulls in the state and we look forward to a great show on one of the best tracks in the nation.” Said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.

The event in Owensboro will take place July 15-16, 2011.  Classes to run include the Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Outlaw Super Farm Tractors, Indiana Hot Farm Tractors, Light Weight Super Stock Tractors, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Pro Street Diesel Trucks(2.6), Work Stock Diesel Trucks and Outlaw Diesel Trucks.  The Diesel Trucks will be points for the Indiana Division and the Southern and West Kentucky Diesel Trucks.

Owensboro is the home county of the founders of the National Farm Machinery Show Tractor Pull Committee.  It was in Owensboro that the founders of the Farm Show got their start in pulling and after running the event in Owensboro, they decided to start the pull at the Farm Show in Louisville.  The first pulling event in history to use laser measuring took place in Owensboro, and Owensboro was the home of several national events sanctioned through TNT and the ATPA.  Owensboro also has one of the nicest arenas in the sport, set up exclusively for pulling.
