2009 Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series
Press Releases

May 26, 2009(Louisville, KY)
Record Crowds and Huge Entries at the First Battle of the Bluegrass Pull in Carlisle, Kentucky

May 26, 2009 was a great day in Pulling history. Over 80 pullers participated at the first ever Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series event in Carlisle, Kentucky. Not only was there a large turnout of pulling vehicles, but Carlisle, Kentucky set a record for crowd attendance.

“We had the biggest crowd we ever had.”, said event promoter and Super Farm Tractor Puller Dexter Sims. “We had over 3,500 fans in attendance, making it the biggest event that has ever been held in Carlisle.”, commented Sims.

Fans saw six classes of competition on the track last Saturday night. The largest class was the Pro Street Diesel Trucks (2.6) with 27 entries. Other classes were the Light Hot Farm Tractors, the Super Farm Tractors, the Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, the Outlaw Street Diesel Trucks (2.8), and the Pro Farm Tractors. The pull was run in record time, with very little down time between runs.
