The Howes Lube/Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) heads south this weekend, Saturday May 24, to host a major event in Woodbury, TN.  “We have had two great weekends of pulling and now we are anxious to head south to see how the BOB boys compete against those great running vehicles from the VolunteerState,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “We are expecting great crowds, great weather and a great pull, this Saturday in Woodbury, TN.”

The pull in Woodbury is being promoted by the Mooretown Volunteer Fire Department.  “This is one of the many fundraisers we have to keep the emergency fire services available to the community.  We have spent a lot of time working on the facility and hope to turn this event into one… Continue reading

Bardstown Tourism Welcomes the Battle of the Bluegrass this Saturday

bardstown logo-dark-jpgThe Howes Lube Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) heads, for the first time ever, to the beautiful Nelson County Fairgrounds in Historic Bardstown, KY, this Saturday, May 10, at 7pm.  “Fans have been asking us to come to Bardstown, and we are finally there!” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “And for the first time ever in Bardstown, Semis will be pulling.”

Bardstown, KY, a city founded in 1780, is one of the oldest cities in the State, and historic sites are everywhere.  “Pullers and fans alike need to plan on coming to town early and checking out what there is to do, at least make a drive down 3rd and view the layout of the city.  Bardstown has been voted, several times, the ‘BestSmallTown in America’, so come out and enjoy.”

Howes Lube Battle of the Bluegrass to Kick Off 2014 Season This Week In Falmouth

The Howes Lube Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is ready to launch its 2014 season, this week by heading to the Pendleton County Fairgrounds, this Saturday, May 3rd, in Falmouth, Kentucky.  “2014 will be a great year for the BOB Series, as we are expecting record turnouts of drivers and fans, as the BOB Series continues to grow in popularity,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “For the last three years we have set record crowds for our opening event in Falmouth, and we look to set yet another record in Falmouth this Saturday night.”
